The Person Behind the Work
Piano has always been part of my life
I have performed as a pianist and keyboardist in bands, concerts, neighborhood events, restaurants, and community spaces. Those experiences taught me to notice the details that change how an instrument feels and speaks.
I have completed the APEX Piano Technician course and am a certified piano technician through it.
My studies in electronic music at UC Santa Cruz further developed my understanding of pitch, harmony, acoustics, and critical listening. I bring that musical background to every piano I work with.

Common Questions
Before your appointment
How often should a piano be tuned?
Most pianos benefit from tuning twice a year. If your piano is new, recently moved, or hasn’t been tuned in several years, more frequent visits may be needed to bring it back to pitch.
What does regulation help with?
Regulation addresses the mechanical action of the piano — how the keys feel and respond when played. It can improve evenness, reduce sticking keys, and restore a more consistent touch across the keyboard.
What if I do not know my piano’s history?
That’s completely fine. I’ll assess the instrument during the appointment. Knowing the general age or brand is helpful but not required — I’ll let you know what I find.
Is my requested date automatically confirmed?
No — I’ll follow up to confirm availability after reviewing your request. Dates are not reserved until we’ve been in touch directly.
